Hi, I'm trying to connect an illuminated toggle switch, by example as a pitot heat switch. I want to the led light when the pitot heat is on, and I don't know how to do it.. Sorry I know that it's a silly question but I don't know how to do it.. The toggle switch has three connections. If I connect the connection marked "+" to the pin 5 and the ground, it works well but no light. If I connect a +5 to the "+" and the ground it works as supposed, only light when the switch is on.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance

If you need it work as "korry-type" switch, and it should only show the switch position, (not the real system working state)  it has to have more than one group of switchable contacts. One grou is used for input, another - for powering the LED.

Does your switch has in-built LED (lamp)? Can you show it ( a link)?

Hi Glad, thank you very much for your answer. The toggle switch is the one in the link, and it has a incorporated LED

Toggle switch

I want it to implement the pitot switch in a Cessna 172 with the G1000 option

Thanks in advance
