Followed the guide about altering the 28 type stepper motor and understand the connections except where the tx1 and rx1 connect FROM the master TO the easydriver.

Thanks for the help regarding my flap servo,  all working great.

you must to connect TX1 from arduino nano to RX1 of arduino mega and you must connect RX1 from arduino nano to TX1 of arduino mega.

Then, on your nano you connect the easydriver ;)

This diagram clearly shows that any stepper driver (including EasyDriver) is controlled by slave board.  This slave board is the unified stepper  "controller" with program code specifically optimized for multiple steppers control.

In early versions the code for steppers was on the master board, but later it was moved to specialized board for performance reason.
