Hello everybody!

I'm using an Arduino UNO as a slave for my LCD screen but it only works if I connect it to an usb port. In the LCD web page (https://simvim.com/svc_lcd.html) looks like we can power the slave with a external power like a battery or a power source but it doesn't work for me. The LCD lights up but nothing appears. Information is gathered from the master if I'm right, so... I can't get why is necesary to connect it via USB to the computer.

Any help?
Best regards,

Rodrigo.

Not necessary, you need USB only to upload the SimVimLCD firmware.
Please read all related pages on the SImVim website more carefully.

I couldn't manage to fix it but it's not a big deal, I'm using it as temporal screen while waiting for the 7-segment displays that I ordered.

It works only sometimes after "reconnect hardware" several times via plugin menu, reset the flight 2 or 3 times and only if I connect the slave to a usb port, imposible to do it work connecting it to another power supply like battery or usb charger. Can't imagine what's happening, probably my fault so forget about it because it's a temporary solution, just trying to learn about different components.

Cheers.
